What is it?

The scrapbook is my own thinking of different film and video game situations as well as helping others with audio for their thesis projects. Scroll through this page to see my songs!

The Dream Team Theme Song

This song is a collaboration between myself, Hallie Koches and Kris Hontz. It is for Kris’ show The Dream Team and we are all very excited to show off this collab! Hallie Koches really shines with both her vocals and arranging the song along with my instrumentation. Check out Kris’ page here for more info on their show and check out Hallie’s new album what they don’t tell you here and on all streaming platforms!

RAGING BULL

Martin Scorsese’s 1980 masterpiece shows an opening scene of Jake LaMotta played by Robert De Niro in a boxing ring warming up. LaMotta is by himself while beyond him outside the ring is a thick haze with some visible audience members. and occasional camera flashes. This opening scene is very iconic especially with Pietro Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana: Intermezzo” playing alongside. I decided to take my own approach at scoring this scene by thinking on the movie’s main themes of LaMotta being by himself and being truly himself when in the ring. Everything else outside are distractions that try to sneak in, but LaMotta pushes them away.

Butterflies

This piece was created last semester for the Image-Movement-Sound-Lab class that was in the Student Gallery. It was in collaboration of Kyle Marsh and Kate Capodanno where we created a VR Butterfly Experience. Kate created the drawings of the buterfflies and the flowers while Kyle took those and integrated them into VR along with creating the animation of the experience.

Salsa de la Alma

Salsa de la Alma is a piece near and dear to my heart. After the passing of both of my grandfathers over the past eight months, life has been a bit tougher for me. Still I look back on fond memories of both of my grandfathers. This song is in honor of both of them, a salsa that they can listen and dance to while still keeping their souls alive when played.
