Specializing in photo/video and digital content creation. Jake is currently employed at a digital marketing agency in Eatontown, NJ as a "Multimedia Specialist". He has a burning passion and curiosity for all things digital. Videography and Editing is his most professional skill trait. Which he has been able to use on projects ranging from educational all the way to TV commercials.

Slick Motion: Creating My Own Company

For my senior project. I decided to push myself far out of my comfort zone. As I have been working as a freelance videographer and photographer for the past few years. I wanted to legitimize the work I am doing and become an outlet for local businesses. Thus for my senior project, I decided to create my own content creation agency. A full service video/photo and digital content company that facilitates business’s marketing needs.

My Process

I started by doing design work and learning the proper steps to making your own company. I branded my company as “SLICK” short for Slick Motion LLC. Branding was an extremely fun part of the journey. I created logos, social media platforms, a company email, business cards, and my own company website. Slick Motion became a registered LLC. in the state of New Jersey as of 2020. Going through the steps to get a registered business was extremely valuable information that I am thankful I now own. After registering my business I needed to set a proper foundation. I invested in my own liability insurance for the company along with a business attorney. The attorney has been so helpful in creating proper service agreements and contracts for future projects. The second semester of my capstone I focused on application and started to conduct business with SLICK. It has been extremely successful and I have done over 15 shoots in the past 6 months. Some of the projects include weddings, real estate, luxury car dealerships, and local businesses! I now have my first company sizzle/showreel video highlighting the work I have done this past year!
