About me
My name is Jamil Marshall and I am currently a senior Design and Creative Technologies major at The College of New Jersey. Throughout my years here I found myself coming specialize in graphic design, illustration, and video editing. Using programs such as ProCreate, ClipArt Studio, KineMaster, Photoshop and iMovie; I have developed my skills working on various projects from research illustration work for exhibits, short video content creation, and character and concept designing. Starting out as a Computer Science major at Kean University, I also have proficient knowledge in coding from C++, JS, and HTML. Aside from my work, my interest are vast and varied. I love to watch anime, read, cook fancy meals, and most important of all stay active and be fit. That being said, my project definitely stems from my many interests.
My Project
My project Jamil Just Living is my attempt at beginning and creating a brand not only revolving around myself, but the problems I’ve had and still working through physically and mentally. My aim with this project is to create content that might inspire those who may find themselves in a place where they may not see things getting better. The content that I plan to create in the future primarily deals with self improvement, fitness, exploring one’s passions (in my case art and cooking), and mental health awareness. Throughout my years I have struggled with things from binge-eating, to extreme low self-confidence; it took years of trial and error but I can now say that I am much more loving of myself and the ones around me. If I could spark anything with this project it would be to make people take a second and think about what they could do to become a better them!

Throughout this semester I have gotten into the routine of regularly working out and recorded sessions for tutorials or simply displaying the exercise!

This year I have worked on and been apart of many projects as an illustrator. From designing characters to working on botanical illustrations; I have grown and become a better artist. Throughout all of it I have recorded some of my pieces being worked on, hoping to show my process and maybe some skills that can be learned.

We all love to eat! Throughout this year I have learned more about food and nutrition than ever. I recorded videos of me cooking and enjoying great meals. Hopefully giving people inspirations and show that cooking doesn’t have to be hard but fun!
