Skylar’s Journey

An Interactive Story Game Seen Through Unique Eyes.

By Nicole (Nikki) Zacharko

Welcome To My Page!

There is someone I want you all to meet, let’s go meet her now!

Meet Skylar!

Hello! My name is Skylar and I LOVE to draw! I am 18 years old and I am a nonverbal autistic person. This means I am unable to talk but I have other ways to communicate! I am actually going to go draw now, what to join me?

Welcome To Skylar’s World!

Ready to see things through Skylar’s brain? Yes that’s right, in my game, you will explore Skylar’s Imagination. She gets so enthralled in her drawings that she believes she actually is in them! It is the players job to explore her imagination land and help Skylar get home. Skylar’s imagination is a blessing and a curse, it can help you immensely, but it can also hurt you as she imagines enemies that will stand in your way. Try and find a way to the end the levels using puzzle skills and imagination and also with the help of Skylar’s Shape System!

Use Skylar’s Shape System!

Throughout the levels you will come across obstacles and enemies, the only way to get through is using Skylar’s Shape System. Basically, the player will click on the screen and a random shape will appear, the shapes will be random in size, color, and shape. Use them to your advantage and have fun getting through the levels!

Video Presentation

This is a video presentation recorded at the Thesis combined session which was a Final Exam of sorts. That video, edited by me, is embedded below.
